How can we teach robotics when access to physical robots is limited?
Can simulation tools help us create engaging and meaningful robotics activities for students?
Join us for the first webinar of the Erasmus+ ERGO – Educational Robotics Goes Online project:
Foundations of Online Robotics Teaching and Simulation Tools for Robotics
8 October 2026
17:00 CEST / 18:00 EEST
Led by Monica Malvezzi, University of Siena
During this interactive webinar, participants will explore practical applications of Open Roberta Lab, Tinkercad and MIT App Inventor, discuss strategies for teaching robotics online and discover how simulation tools can support robotics education even when physical equipment is limited.
Participation is free of charge.

The webinar is part of a free 6-month online teacher training programme, running from October 2026 to March 2027.
And don't worry — “6 months” does not mean a heavy weekly workload.
The complete eCourse is designed for approximately 25 hours in total, which is around 1 hour per week on average, with most activities available in a flexible, self-paced format.
During the course, educators will explore:
- online and simulation tools for robotics education
- inclusive robotics and strategies supporting girls in STEM
- robotics combined with coding, arts and other STEAM disciplines
- practical activities that can be adapted to real classroom settings
- four live ERGO webinars and opportunities to exchange ideas with educators from different countries
The programme is aimed at teachers, teacher trainers, STEM educators and other professionals interested in robotics and digital education.
ERGO is co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.
