It was the first spin-off company of the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Siena, founded in 2003 by some researchers of the Telecommunications group. It has been active since 2008 in the ICT domain, with the objective to design and develop innovative services for wireless and mobile environments (new generation wireless networks, location-based services), secure architectures (smart cards and secure protocols), content management systems and web services.
Was founded in 2004 as a spin-off of the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Siena, from a group of researchers of the Applied Electromagnetics and RF Electronics group. WaveComm S.r.l. is an electronic engineering company, active in the areas of radiofrequency electronics, wireless technologies and antennas, offering high added-value services and products. WaveComm developes products based on wireless technologies, such as RadioFrequency IDentification (RFID) and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN).
Is founded in 2007 as a spin-off of the research group in the Artificial Intelligence - Department of Information Engineering - University of Siena. In partnership with Expert System SpA, QuestIT carries out R&D in the field of semantic analysis, with a particular focus on Question Answering. QuestIT and Expert System hold properties for technology Algernon [Cogito Answers]. Today QuestIT activities involve other computer fields: mobile applications, intelligent sensors, machine learning and software management.
Born in 2008, as spin-off of the University of Siena, focuses his activities on developing products and services in the ICT domain, with particular reference to the application of wireless technologies in healthcare. T4ALL comes from an engineers’ team with technique and management proven experiences in environments such as: ? Service platforms, fixed and mobile; ? Wireless RF-ID and sensor networks; ? Digital Interactive TV. T4ALL is hosted in the university-based enterprise incubator Science Park of the Toscana Life Sciences Foundation.
Born in 2008, is a spin-off of the University of Siena. It rises from the expertise of the Electronics and Electronic Measurement group -Department of Information Engineering– combined with the joint effort of experts in different engineering areas who firmly believe that excellence can be achieved in any product through advanced research and a strong commitment. SENSIA is engaged in the design of electronic systems, sensors and evaluation of reliability, quality and risk analysis for electronic components and systems applied also in transport and power electronics.
Founded in 2010, is a spin-off of the University of Siena. It rises from the expertise of the Visual Information Processing and Protection Group -Department of Information Engineering - which for years has conducted research of international importance on the development and protection of visual information, with particular attention to the techniques of Information Hiding. The company offers anti-counterfeiting technologies for the certification of documents and for the protection of various kinds of products, developed through the use of more refined techniques for processing digital information and of ongoing research in computer vision and visual information.
Founded in 2011, is a UNISI start-up company operating within the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) field, with special focus in Ubiquitous Computing, Mobile Services and Cloud computing technologies. The Meta Group always places at the center of its activities the content, its use, organization and utilization (Multimedia Communication, Enterprise Content Management). Born in 2008, is a UNISI start- up company operating in the area of ??safety for people and security of enviroments and things, with particular reference to surveillance systems, access control and fire detection. An established expertise allows the company to approach problems with a multi-technological vision and to offer custom integrated solutions that make simple and reliable the security management. The company acts as a system integrator of safety and security multi-sensor solutions (video surveillance, barriers, pressure and proximity sensors, etc.) and it offers custom solutions using the most advanced technologies.
Founded in 2003, is a UNISI start- up company. In 2006 EngiNe merges into the operative network of ENG TECHNO&Partners, whose contribution, together with the new company organization, allows EngiNe to increase its presence on the market and to start the testing of further avant-garde solutions, which have become by now steady offer know how. EngiNe has a great competence on the following items: exploitation of the methods of signals analysis; features extraction from scenes (sobel, kuwahara); analysis of the weaving, modelling and reconstruction of 3D images; stereoscopy; epipolar geometry; image warping. EngiNe is also qualified on the use of the most effective mathematical tools in this sector, such as computation in fuzzy logic, pattern recognition, neural networs, Markov networks, FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), morphologic analysis, Kalman filter and image enhancement.

The well-established knowledge of the information technologies and telecommunications (program languages such as NET, C / C + +, Java, PHP, Objective C; databases such as MySql, SQL Server, Oracle) allows the company to design, build and develop custom high-tech systems.
