Seminari "Embodied Media, Haptic Design and Superhuman Sports" e "Subjective Haptic Technology: Evaluation and Utilization"

Giovedì, 30 Novembre, 2017 - 14:00

Si terranno domani Giovedi 30 Novembre 2017, dalle ore 14:00 alle ore 16:00 presso l'Aula 149 del Dipartimento:

1° seminario

Relatore: Kouta Minamizawa, Associate Professor at Keio University Graduate School of Media Design

Titolo: Embodied Media, Haptic Design and Superhuman Sports

Abstract: The Embodied Media research group aims to create future media technologies that record, share, enhance, and create the kind of experiences that we have through our bodies. Based on the wearable haptic technologies developed so far, they are trying to design novel embodied experiences that entertain, enchant, and empower us.

2° seminario

Relatore: Yoshihiro Tanaka, Associate Professor at Nagoya Institute of Technology

Titolo: Subjective Haptic Technology: Evaluation and Utilization

Abstract: Haptic perception is subjective because the information depends on our bodies and the motor control is based on sensory feedback. Our research group is trying to reveal, evaluate, share, and augument haptic perception with wearable sensing and sensory feedback technologies, and to utilize them into design, welfare, and medical applications.
