Research area: Geometry and Algebra
| The section studies properties of projective varieties and their embeddings in multiprojective spaces. The main subject are properties of secant varieties of products and their projections. The research is strictly connected with the Geometry of spaces of tensors in multilinear algebra, which determine the complexity of statistical systems (Markov chains and trees, phylogenetic models) as well as the canonical decomposition of homogeneous forms, with application to some interpolation problems. |
