Activities: |
The research activities in the Lab are focused on Machine Learning and on their applications to Pattern Recognition. A particular focus is on models for Learning in Structured Domains, Learning with Constraints, Neuro-symbolic Models and Continual Learning (Learning over Time). The principal studied applications are in the fields of Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. | |||

Equipments: | The Lab is equipped with high performance servers for testing and simulation of new machine learning approaches and their applications. The code developed in the context of the research activities is stored in the Lab repository (https://github.com/sailab-code/) and showcased in the Lab homepage (https://sailab.diism.unisi.it/) It includes software for foveated neural models (Foveated Neural Computation, https://github.com/sailab-code/foveated_neural_computation), for learning by progressively adapting the input information (Friendly Training, https://sailab.diism.unisi.it/friendly/), for learning in customizable 3D environments (SAILEnv, https://sailab.diism.unisi.it/sailenv), and others. |
