Activities: |
The Laboratory is devoted to research activities in the areas of Laser Spectroscopy, Atomic Magnetometry, and related application fields such as detection of bio-magnetic signals, detection of NMR in ultra-low-field regime, characterization of weakly magnetized materials, laser-spectroscopy based measurements The Laboratory is equipped with high spectral purity laser sources, optical tables, DAQ systems, RF and microwave generators, high quality detection measurement instruments (digital filters, lockin amplifiers, spectrometers and interferometers for the visible-IR range) and other standard laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters etc.). The laboratory operates in tight connection with other laboratories in the Unisi-DSFTA, which are equipped with similar instrumentation and work in related areas, such as laser cooling of atomic vapours and study of atom-light-surface interactions. |
