Giovanni Bellettini is the local member of this research group, mainly with connections with the university of Brescia La Cattolica, the International School of Advanced Studies in Trieste. The research is focused on relaxation problems and Gamma-convergence. A particular attention has been devoted recently to the relaxation of the area functional for nonsmooth maps from the plane to the plane. Another related topic is the study of the Plateau problem with the coverings space method, and finite perimeter sets on covering spaces. Key words: relaxation problems, Gamma-convergence, minimal surfaces, Plateau problem, covering spaces. MSC numbers (2010): 49J45, 49Q15, 49Q05 |
